I just got a set of rubber grips in the mail yesterday (from CGW, along with the adjustable sear I ordered late last week).

They are on the new compact.  The only issue I have with the rubber grips is it seems that some pairs don't have the hole in the right side grip lined up right.  I can squeeze that grip forward all I want and the screw still won't quite line up with the hole in the frame.  It takes several attempts to get that screw line up just right.

After the grips have been on the pistol for awhile they aren't so hard to get back on the pistol, it's just that first time that's a bear.
Do not attach plastic handles to your guns, as they contain solvent, they damage the gun and they rust. The masters of this work use walnut grips.
Well you've resurrected a 4 year old thread with something that doesn't make sense. Are you saying you prefer wood grips over plastic/rubber? If you're saying somehow the plastic/rubber cause damage you need to prove to everyone on this forum who has factory grips on their guns how you arrived at this conclusion. I prefer the factory rubber grips over anything else I've tried and have had them on my 75BD for 2 decades with no damage and my carried daily PCR has worn them for 12 years with no damage. All my CZ's have them.
Explain.

both CZ pistols  i own have vz diamond checker grips, one is a compact the other is a full size. the rubber grips are to clingy when conceal carrying.

I tried the VZ's and absolutely hated them. They totally destroyed the perfect CZ feel that I like so they got sold. Yes the rubber grips tend to grab a bit but that VS the way the gun feels in hand to me is a fair trade off.
Grips end up being a personal preference item like holsters, sights and even the gun itself.

As soon as I bought my P01 Urban Gray CZ I changed out the rubber grips. They feel ok but......rubber? I ordered a set of aluminum ones from Amazon in black. They're this and feel great.
Thanks

While I prefer LOK Ridgeback grips with the palm swell, the rubber grips are actually quite good. My change to LOK, is purely an aesthetic thing for me.

I tried VZ, and prefer LOK
