So I had this old sight....
« on: May 03, 2021, 08:24:29 AM »
That was kinda beat up, some fiber optic rods and a little time on my hands. So I figured why not try making a DIY f/o sight to go with the green front sight that I had.
A 3/32" bit matched the diameter of the rods.

And what do you know - it actually didn't come out too bad!

Actually looks pretty darn good and with a little time and patience you saved a few bucks.

Neat.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Thankyou for a great idea. I hope you don’t mind me borrowing your idea.

Borrow away! I really did it just to see if it could be done. A little dab of super glue ensures that the rods won't go anywhere.

Looks great! - Dig it!
I did the same thing to the front sight a couple years ago. I filed a V notch in the top to add some light gathering. It worked OK.

I did that on a Beretta Ninety-Two that had a boogered up front sight with about the same results as yours. I guess maybe that was what prompted me to try this one.
