« on: May 05, 2021, 12:46:53 AM »
I have this CZ83 and it says mod. 83 cal 9 Browning on the side. Made in chekoslovakia. On the other side just the serial number and some kind of a small circular crest. Great blued condition and a thick wooden grip.never fired it yet but been in my safe quite a long time. This is a .380 correct ! Any comments would appreciated. Only got one mag and has an x mark on the left side. Thanks.

If you look closer, the "X" should actually be crossed swords. That is a mark found on the real CZ mags make for the Czech military and other government offices. The same mag works in the 9x18mm Makarov (vz82 and CZ83) and 9x17mm (CZ83) pistols.

there are a lot of different names for 9x17mm around the world

I'll sell my excellent condition .32ACP for $950, with 5 CZ OEM mags.
