So, is that thing on the back that looks like a thumb safety really a thumb safety?

If so I might have to keep an eye out if they every go back to "normal" gun shows around here.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

 Yes it is. Standard on the SAO models.

not a fan of the 226/229 but to each is own. they are quite popular. but i do own two sigs and enjoy shooting both

Interesting. To each his own for sure. I like the metal frame Sig P-series and hate the Sig plastics.

I tend to agree. I have yet to be impressed by any of the Sig striker pistols, and I've owned several. I've been spoiled by the CZ P-10 and HK VP9s I own. The striker Sigs, by comparison, feel pretty janky. And the triggers tend to feel like trying to punch your finger through a piece of cardboard.

I agree as well. Metal P229 is a fantastic handgun. I tried to carry P320 but polymer frame just didn't work for me.
Recently I handled  WCP-320 with tungsten rods mounted into the frame. I was very impressed how nice this one shot.  :o

Well guys, after the first range session I'm really not impressed with it.
The Legion SAO isn't in the same league as my Tactical Sports Orange.

These are two completely different handguns. SIG Legion stays on its own league which is not even close to TS or Shadows.
Hopefully you didn't expect P229SAO to be the same as any of CZ Competition handguns...  ;)

But, being a thumb safety person, and would definitely put SIG229SAO above P-01 Omega and CZ75C.

It's a P226 Legion SAO, and I will take my SP-01, P-01 Omega, and 75 B Omega over it any day of the week!
The "Legion" thing is pure marketing hype.
