That's great! We've had that for a while in Arkansas. I still got my Enhanced Ark CC permit, though. That way I can carry in a lot of other states too. And the training for the CC is worth going through, IMO.

Good news. I hope Abbot signs the Texas State 2A Sanctuary bill too.

Abbott has said he would (sign it into law). The media has been doing their usual hatchet job in covering it, emphasizing that "almost anyone would be able to carry a gun, with NO training", etc.
It's not saving any water if you have to flush it over and over....

Don’t be silly, the media does a fantastic job relaying the news 100% of the time.  ;D

This should make it the 21st state that has CC.  There's still benefits for having a permit like carrying on campus, avoiding the 30.05 signs, and not waiting for a background check to clear when you buy a gun; but not having to wait to carry for a month while the state gets you a permission slip processed is an excellent thing.  Especially for those who move into the state or their catalyst for carrying is a very real immediate threat.

What’s weird is with a cc permit 30.05 isn’t really a worry for the most part. But with a cc permit 30.06 forbids me but not a person who carries without a permit. At least that’s how I understand it.

Supposedly there is also a bill that would exempt suppressors made in state from federal regulation. I certainly hope that is true.

Yes. I believe the guy from the Guns & Gadgets YouTube channel said we’d be able to make them and they have to be stamped ’Texas’ on it.

Yes, but they basically want it challenged in the courts before people go forward and start breaking federal laws.  There's even a clause for the TX AG to do the legal stuff as a representative for the first people who wanna put their name to the case.  So don't get too excited yet, this one has some legal battles ahead of it.
