I screwed up and voted p09 instead of voting 97.
For me it's because nothing I've found tops it.
My 97 beats my DW 1911s, beats the crap out of P220, beats fnx 45.

CZ 75BD.  It is my one and only CZ.  My other pistol is the Colt 1911.

I am a big fan of CZs.   I own 7 of them and probably have 200k rounds through them.   All depends on use case.   

Shadows are the best Production/Carry Optics guns out there.   

I don't think the other guns are the best in the use case.   I carry a P10C with a dot.    If I was going to buy the carry gun I would like the most, I would get an M&P 2.0 Compact with a dot.    It wasn't available at the time I bought the P10C and it's not enough better to be worth changing.

The Tac Sport isn't as good as the 2011 platform.

I prefer some of the plastic striker guns to the P-07/9

Non-Shadow full size steel guns aren't optimal in a use case I'm interested in.

I don't have experience with compact and sub compact steal guns.    If I'm going small, I'm going polymer.    Plenty accurate and reliable.   Lighter and less complicated operation.

I swear my Beretta 81BB in .32 ACP is the most accurate gun I have ever owned and beats ALL of my CZ 9MM's in long distance accuracy and I have two CZ 75B Omega's and an SP-01. The entire Beretta magazine of 12 rounds hits a 16" square target at 15 yards just by "Point and Shoot", without even lining up the post and dot sights.  And the same results at 25 yards with sighting it in. Now that's what I call an ideal self-defensive weapon! Who cares if a larger caliber has more stopping power if you miss your target 3 out of 5 times. And in a stressful situation, I doubt if most people are going to be able to take the time to focus on the proper grip and sighting, which will only add to the lack of accuracy

My favorite is a SP-O1 Shadow duo tone with a leupold DPP.  it just fits my hand, it shoots smoothly.  I have many different CZ pistols polymer, steel framed and alloy framed, I like all of my CZpistols but the duo tone is my favorite.

Being accurate with any gun REQUIRES concentration on grip and trigger control plus sight alignment that's the whole shooting thing in a nutshell right there. If your not accurate with the gun it's not the gun it's the shooter who needs more quality time on the range honing his skills.
Full disclosure I have guns that I just do not shoot as well a others but I know those guns are tack drivers and I'm just not there with them at this point.

Also noticing better accuracy with my shadow 2 after some slight alterations to the grip  ;D



But seriously, most guns are made out of the factory for medium sized hands.  If you have to curve your finger too much it will be harder to have a smooth pull.

I now rate my CZ P-01 OMEGA AS MY "GO TO " GUN, now that I have improved my hand grip. Very accurate at short and long distances. I love this gun now!

I am not qualified to say which CZ is the best.
I shoot my SP-01 the best, but like my P-01 the most of all my handguns..
