What’s the best CZ pistol in your view?

Am wondering what the team here views as the best CZ pistol is in their view.  I have a few and love them all. While my preference if I had to choose just one to keep, it would be the P01 Omega I own. It’s the right compromise of size, capacity, accuracy for my carry competition and HD needs.

While all are superb IMO, I  think the 75/85 is the best as it spawned the compact, shadow, SPO1 guns.  They all have their roots in this design. It’s ergonomics carry through to the others and remains the standard by which I judge other guns by.  The 75/85 remains a viable carry, HD, competition & range gun, despite its design age.

So I vote for the 75/85 as the best- it’s the classic iconic wonder nine before the polymer framed guns came out.

My apologies if I missed any models- I tried to focus on those readily available.

It's hard to argue against the P-01 Omega as being the ideal CZ pistol.

The trigger mechanism (Omega vs CZ75 standard) is generally a matter of preference, but if one is forced to choose one gun, it's hard to argue against the Omega system. The Omega system gives users 2 options, and is certainly sufficiently accurate for pistol work. With a little TLC, the Omega triggers ROCK N ROLL.

For reliability, I don't think you can beat the P-07, P-09, or P-10. They're FAR more reliable than guns that are considered reliable.

For accuracy, with CZ, it really comes down to the shooter (because I don't think you had competition guns in mind...the Czechmate Parrot really is that much more accurate)...but you can tinker with the hammer-fired guns much more, so that gives the P-07 & P-09 an edge. Also, the barrel lock in the P-07 & P-09 is good enough that a barrel bushing is no longer necessary for accuracy (hello reliability).

Because the P-07 can do basically everything the P-09 will do but also uses P-09 and P10 mags (the shorter P-07 mags don't work in the P-09), the P-07 wins out.

However the P-07 just doesn't fit my hand as well as the P-01, and NATO has shown that the P-01 can take an absolute beating.

The P-01 is basically a P-07 with more options. I think you've figured it out, friend!

I voted for 75C/P-01/PCR... however it was hard for me not to vote for P07/09.  I love P-07, but still have a sentiment to my P-01 Omega.

I've abstained from voting since I am only familiar with the P07.
     Returning to shooting after a 40 year hiatus, I tried a slew of pistols (and wheel guns) before finding any CZs to try out. Nothing I tried fit my old arthritic grip better than the P07 or P09. I wanted a P01 but eventually overcame my all metal bias in favor of comfort. No regrets at all !  I've got a great shooting pistol that I can completely tear down and reassemble, and doesn't leave my hand numb after a range session.
     Got the Wife interested in shooting, and went through a year long quest for her choice. Although she liked (and I encouraged) the HK P30, she finally picked out her own P07 in ODG with tritium.

I'll take the standard 75 series action over the Omega hands down. I've owned both and I simply don't like the Omega system. The traditional action just tunes up better. As far as the "best CZ' goes that's simply a matter of preference as well and I wouldn't trade my PCR's for any 2 of anything else.

Hoestly, I love shooting my P-10S more than almost all the rest. I also have to say the best non poly CZ I ever fired was the PCR, my all time favorite hammer fired CCW pistol.

75b because it hosts the all steel Kadet conversion, the combination of which is a platform for a terrific bullseye competition pistol.  Add a CGW 10x bushing to a 9mm 75B slide and you have a centerfire bullseye pistol, too. 

But I can't choose between the polymer guns.  I've shot the P-10F the most over the last two years, but the P-10S is the most surprisingly good at long distances, but I carry a P-07 and have two P-09 hammer guns because they work so well for everything centerfire that I'm interested in. 

The 97B is a scaled up version of a 75B, and is my preference over any other .45 available, with a CGW "E" bushing.  Period. 

Choosing between them is futile.  On this current trip, I brought the 75B Kadet, 97B"E", P-07, and P-10F/S pistols because I couldn't choose just two.  And a few boxes of ammo for each.  Good to have choices.  So far, I've only shot the P-10F and S, however.  At 100 yards, my one and only current specialty, and one where the striker polymer CZ guns excel, surprisingly.

My P07 and P09 are the most accurate of all the CZs I own.

The P01 Omega feels better in my hand than any of the CZs.

I really like the CZ85's.

I carry the P07 day in, day out.  Close to home.  Road trips away from home.

The 83 in .32 is an absolute joy to shoot
I shoot my stock P09 better than any other gun I own
but at the end of the day, I had to go with the 75

Very hard question for sure. I came to CZ for DA/SA guns, so I can rule out the P10 series to start with. Then I put the Shadow II is a class of its own since it is designed for comp. Out of the others I only have experience with the P07/P09, SP01 Tac, 75B and 97. Out of these, I actualyy rely on the P07/P09 series for "duty" type use. Are they the best? Meh, not sure about that, but they are the best CZ handguns for me in the roles I am using them.

Yeah it stood the test of time and JMB cured it's shortcomings with the BHP which has stood the test of time along with the CZ 75.
