So what is he alleged to have done (more likely than not) anyway?

He apparently berated and insulted a competitor in front of other competitors during the LOCAP Nationals last May 2021. He was using FU’s and other bad language while yelling at the competitor who filed the complaint against Mike Foley.

It was a fairly regular thing with him.

I shot hicap nationals in Utah on a squad with Mike.   I didn't know him before that match but I lost all respect for him there.

He was constantly gaming it.   Claiming on the move doubles (that weren't) etc...  it felt like we were always waiting for some thing he challenged and called the RM to dispute.

At one point, he took out the entire RO squad because he unexpectedly moved back to a previous shooting position.  I have no doubt it was because he knew he could get an interference call.  Literally three RO's were on the ground and the tablet was smashed as they tried to get out of his way.

While shooting with him he was polite, I could see his temper and he came off as a hot head to me.  Hopefully we can find a new leader that will be a positive role model for our sport and fix the culture at the top.

Cheers,
Toby

Assuming what is reported here are the reasons ( & I have no reason to disbelieve them) for his dismissal,  then I applaud USPSA in fixing this problem. Wish other organizations with leadership credibility issues consider the same……

I'm surprised the BOD got it done, and I applaud them. While membership has increased with Foley's leadership, the culture and integrity of the sport was suffering. Hopefully the ship can be righted and put back on course.

My thoughts exactly. Sadly, I think the NRA is probably too far gone.
Also, I have a feeling more dirt will emerge now that Foley is gone and there may be a few more positions opening up. He's not from my Area, but I hope more people like Matt Hopkins run for BOD positions.

Matt Hopkins just moved in to my area and I've shot a couple local matches with him and he seems like somebody who should be on the board and shaking things up.

The way things are going, I'll be surprised if the USPSA makes it another year. Foley was just the tip of the iceberg.
