New P07 Kadet recoil springs
«

I just received my new Kadet kit from Buds yesterday. It came with three recoil springs. The ends of the recoil springs are different colors - black, blue and red. There is nothing in the in the manual that addresses the differences. Anyone have an idea why the different colors?

I have seen where others have gotten three springs, but usually the black spring gives the best results. Mine only came with one...black spring end. Been 100% for the time I have had it.

Thanks for the feedback. It came with the black recoil spring installed. I ran about 50 CCI rounds through it. It ran great. I’m happy with the purchase.

So, did anyone ever figure out the difference? I just got my kit, and I also have the three recoil springs - black, red, and blue. I am testing it tomorrow. It also came with the black spring installed, so I left it that way for now.

I have discovered the difference for the springs....the Black is for normal regular velocity ammo.....the blue is for High Velocity and the red is for Subsonic ammo. now ask me why and I do not know nor have I ever heard that with any other .22 semi firearm or Conversion kit.

I have a very early P07 Kadet kit that came with only one captive spring that does not function reliably with subsonics. I also have cases of PMC Moderator subsonics I purchased years ago on closeout. They are extremely accurate in bolt-action rimfires but fail to operate in most semi-auto pistols I own with the exception of a Ruger LPC II .22 and a Smith & Wesson M&P Compact .22.
I emailed CZ-USA today to inquire about purchasing the subsonic spring. The ability to use the PMC Moderators in my P07 conversion would be a Christmas miracle. Are the three springs all captive or has CZ changed the guide rod on the latest kits?

I know nothing about the springs other than why there are three. Never even seen a red or blue one. I never shoot Hyper velocity and only shoot sub sonic thru my Wrangler or Rough Rider revolvers.

Black would not shoot reliably here in Washington in cold weather. Tried the Red and everything worked fine. Will put the black one back in when the weather warms.
