Just got my Shadow 2 back from CZ Custom shop, where they installed a 40 S&W CTS top end and added a 357 SIG barrel. Due to some smoothing of the back end of the frame and slide it had to be refinished. I chose black controls with a titanium gray overall finish. First the pistol is beautiful. Have not figured out how to post pictures, but will when I figure it out.
The pistol is a tack driver. Zeroed with defensive ammo in 5 shots (CCI Gold dot 357 Sig). Next 5 were all in 10 ring, even the one I called as a flyer. Other 4 were touching in the X. This from a 64 year old guy with declining eye-sight. By the way this thing wants to shoot fast. It is back on target before I can rest the trigger to the wall. Now I will have to readjust trigger technique to reduce my split times...this is a good thing.
Then put on the original 9mm upper and it is just as accurate and shoots a consistently better than before I shipped it. Can not wait to take this out to an ASI match. Ran 100 rounds through the Kadet Kit. Everything ran just like before I sent it in. A few light strikes and one failure to eject. Second trigger pull sent the failures to fire down range. Great failure drill practice.
All told I have over 300 rounds in three days. No malfunctions other than 22 and that due to poor quality ammo.
Want to thank Stuart and Eric who provided great service and information during this process. There were a couple of issues that came up during this build. They were resolved and the pistol exceeds my original expectations. Much of that is due the great communication by Stuart and Eric.
Angus, you have a great shop. Will be sending you more work very soon.
