MIMIMUM REQUREMENTS• To reduce the number of scams, members must have a minimum post limit of 25 to place an advert in the
Classifieds. This includes any ad to buy, sell and/or trade. This is enforced by the forum software.

NEW As of 1/1/2024,
Sellers must post a photo of the item that includes a slip of paper with your screen name
AND the date. [This is to prevent scammers from just using a picture they found elsewhere on the internet.] Example...
• New members can still buy, they simply cannot post a WTB ad. "Newbie" Buyers will only be able to contact the Seller by leaving a message that says "Please email me." (See the COMMUNICATION section below for details.)
• All personal advertising must be posted in the
Classifieds. Do not post links to your Gun Broker, CalGuns, or any other exterior web site on other forums within CZF.
GENERAL RULESWe are on an honor system here. In other words, we are dealing with friends and fellow CZ enthusiasts. We expect everyone to follow these rules and policies for the good of the
CZ community.
1. Ads with no OP activity for 30 days will be deleted.
2. Do not place classified ads that are any of the following: auctions; games of chance (including raffles); promotional offers, general advertisements for unrelated goods and/or services; and solicitations for the purposes of appraisal.
3. Sellers must post a price for each item. We do not allow ads that amount to an 'auction'.
4. Maximum image widths of 650 pixels apply, as per the
Image Posting Guide.
HERE5. Please include your location in your post if you are selling firearms or items that may be restricted in another state, or your ad states a face-to-face (FTF) purchase is permissible. Don't make people ask.
6. Multiple ads are
not allowed. You may have
one active 'WTS or WTT' and
one active 'WTB' at a time. If you are selling multiple items, combine them into one ad rather than posting them individually.
7. You are responsible for making sure that all State and Federal laws/rules are adhered to when making a sale or transfer. The NRA website is very helpful in this regard.
8. Sellers, please do not add "notices" and/or links to the
Classifieds within any other sub-forum.
9. You may
"Bump" your ad to the top (BTT) once every 15 days. The total number of
Bumps is unlimited.
10. When your item is sold, please use the
Modify button to change your post's
Subject Line to say "SOLD" or "SPF". This will help us delete old posts and conserve forum resources.
11. If you are advertising multiple items and 1 item sells, then sellers shall
Delete all references to that item from the Title, Text and Photos. DO NOT simply mark the line item as "Sold".
BEHAVIORAll CZ Forum rules for general decorum apply. Foul or abusive language, derogatory comments,
criticisms, "helpful comments", etc will not be tolerated.
Keep your opinions to yourself. Additionally...
12. Ads are for selling, buying, or trading. Ads are
not for discussing the items, asking questions, complaints, bidding wars, haggling or counter ads. Do your research before you buy or sell. Communicate via PM (speech bubble icon) or Email (envelope icon) with the Seller to get your questions answered.
Discussions are not allowed in the ad. COMMUNICATION13. Again... Ads are
not for discussing the items, asking questions, complaints, bidding wars, or haggling. Both parties should use PM and Email for all discussion.
14. New members ('Newbies') simply need to leave a post that says "Please email me." All Sellers can see the Email icon for all members. If the Seller wishes to sell to a new member, then they will receive an email.
15. All
Classified users are REQUIRED to change your
Profile (under
Account Settings) to insure you can be contacted by email. Make sure the 2 boxes shown below are checked.
AD FORMAT17. The Subject line of your ad should clearly state...
a) Your intent: WTS (Want to Sell), WTB (Want to Buy), or WTT (Want to Trade).
b) A highly descriptive title.
c) A general location.
Example: WTS: Assorted SP01 parts (TX)
18. The body of the ad should contain a clear description AND price.
19. Accepted payment types.
Venmo, Zelle, Cryptocurrency, and other 'cashapp' methods are NOT permitted on this forum.• Other information that enhances the item's appeal.
• Photos (limited to 650 pixels) or hyperlinks to photos (unlimited) help.
SUMMATIONThe
Classifieds are a very important part of CZF,
and at the same time the most troublesome portion of the entire forum. Strict rules and constant enforcement by CZF moderators and administrators is not our idea of "fun". We have been
forced to make each rule to limit scammers and protect your private information. Please help us make CZF a safe place by following the rules.
• Ads that do not conform to these simple rules may be Locked, Blocked or Deleted without notice.
• For the good of your CZF community, please report bad actors by using the
Report to Moderator link in the lower RH corner of your screen.
• Problems with individual buyers or sellers should be addressed offline with the Admins and Moderators.
