Hopefully you guys and gals can give me some advice regarding the trigger on a CZ75 P-01.
It's an accurate and reliable pistol but, from the factory, it's extremely uncomfortable to shoot. I notice the sharp tip of that extremely curved trigger, and my friends notice it too. Fresh out of the box, it was not remotely smooth or rounded at the tip, which was machined/cut with a sharply squared off edge and corner that makes the trigger finger sting after a dozen or so rounds. Just not fun to shoot after a few mags, and miserable on a cold day - even noticeable through thin (neoprene) shooting gloves.
I've seen similar complaints regarding the regular P-01, which appears (from pics online) to have the same trigger. But none about the compact CZ75 P-01 (DA/SA with de-cocker in this case).
I very carefully filed the unfinished trigger tip, rounding off those sharp edges a bit. This seems to help somewhat, but I'm tempted to do more, and maybe even shave a full 1/8" off the end, tapering it down to something with a more natural (common) shape/feel to it (less like a gaff hook and more like a trigger).
Before I do that...
Has anyone here experienced the same thing and modified or replaced the trigger on your CZ75 P-01? Would love to hear about whatever you've done and what results you achieved. Maybe see a pic or two?
Thanks for looking!
