You made me curious; so I inventoried my handguns. Right now, I own exactly 2 poly strikers: a S&W Bodyguard 380 and a S&W Shield 9mm. Both are rarely carried but I keep them for times I need something very compact.

On the other hand I currently own 9 metal framed (aluminum or steel), hammer fired handguns. I guess that shows a bit of a bias on my part. Absolutely nothing against those who own poly guns -- that's why we have choices!

I think the .380 bodyguard is a hammer fired weapon

Good observation.
Internal hammer doesn't make the pistol "striker fired".

My mistake -- you are correct; it is hammer fired. But that only emphasizes my point. Now I only own ONE poly striker out of a total of 11 handguns.

M&P 2.0 w/apex- we have the compact, shield and now shield+ (the shield+ finally had a good stock trigger and didn't need the upgrade but I did it anyway, because reasons).  Didn't expect it but turns out I shoot the compact hands down better than any other striker I've tried so far- we own VP9 and TP9sfx, and P10c w/CGW upgrades, all very nice.   I've tried glocks, springfields, 320's, PPQs.  Haven't tried FN's, Steyrs, Ruger Americans, APX's, Tauruses, etc.

None are as good as my Omega and 75 series esp w/upgrades...add another vote for an omega the size of a shield.

I have not shot as many varieties of pistols as some people,  but I  did prefer the CZ P10 to others that I shot, so I bought a P10F.

I really like Walthers. Have a pair of P99s that I shoot about as well as anything. DA/SA striker fired, with a darn nice trigger for a polymer pistol. Have been eyeing a Q5 but went with a Shadow 2 out of the classifieds here instead, mostly because I never got my hands on the Walther to see if I liked it as much.

I've shot and liked that one, too. I started out handgun shooting as a Glock guy for years -before shooting other people's guns at the range. Mostly have 1911s and CZ now, and even my polymer guns are no longer Glocks. Glocks are fine pistols, but I just seemed to shoot better with other pistols. I'm sure plenty of people started out with Walthers and have Glocks now -I guess that's why there are so many different choices out there.

I really like my XDM 5.25 Match and my Caniks.  I really enjoyed shooting a P10.  I seriously dislike Glocks.

It appears the P10 series has the plurality, followed by others ( my apologies for not including others named above- I listed what had experience with, with one major omission- Walther)

Interesting to see what the member here do prefer- thanks for participating.

I only have one polymer pistol a Glock 20. I haven't had this all that long and still haven't decided if I like it or not, so I can't even vote for Glock.

What he said.  I have a Walther PPQ 45.  Great pistol.  I have purchased the Q5 Match SF but am waiting for my pistol purchase permit to take possession.  Great that North Carolina still has a Jim Crow era law that denies us our 2A rights.
Wow I wouldn't have thought NC would be that way. We in Ohio can buy and fly the same day. With the most recent revision in our CCW licensing we don't even have to stand around waiting for them to call in the 4473 except for a couple shops which refuse to go that route.
NC isn’t that way if you have a concealed carry permit.  With that, you do your paperwork, pay and carry your firearm out the door.
