Don't know if it qualifies as rare or just a limited addition but there's a silver (25th, made in the year 2000) anniversary hi polish stainless model 75B with gold highlights and some light engraving, numbered 381 of 500 on Guns International for three grand. A bit different if nothing else, but not really my style.

I think it was nickel plated.

You may very well be right about it being a nickel finish. I'm not knowledgeable enough about the CZ 75 series pistols to say. I parroted what the listing said. Was CZ even offering a stainless material option on the 75's in 2000?

Vintage 1993, factory deep blued. Transitional pre-B with round trigger guard. Completely original, unmolested.

Beaut!  Looks a lot more like a Browning HiPower than I was expecting.

Because the lighting is obscuring the beavertail, which in reality is much longer than in the picture.

I have a 79 engraved Short Rail. I don't think it's factory, but then again I have no information about it. It was an estate auction buy.

I hate it, but I was desperate. If anyone wants to trade in up in Canada.

Don't know if it's truly rare, or perhaps just uncommon. That's actually what I've been trying to figure out. On a whim at this weekend's gun show I picked up a "Made in Czechoslovakia" marked 1992 transition in awesome condition. Just some mild holster wear on the bluing. New style front sight, old type safety, ringed hammer,  combat trigger guard, tight magwell and no pin safety. Got it at a steal in my opinion at $375 but I don't know it's true value if it's even higher. Guy said he's had it forever and rarely touched it because the safety and trigger seemed odd compared to his other 2 75s. I tore it down and discovered that someone installed that annoying ass safety plunger backwards. Turned it around and reassembled and now functions flawlessly. I'll inbed a photo of anyone even still monitors this thread. Can't figure out how/if I can from my cellphone.

If you download the Tapatalk app on to your cell phone, it allows you to post photos directly from your photo library. Be aware of the photo size limits imposed by the forum…don’t think you can post any of the app’s three photo size options other than small. “Made In Czechoslovakia” for pistols prior to 1993 are the norm before the country separated. What is rare is to find a frame after 1983 with “Made in Czechoslovakia” on a single line and the smaller size font. If you look at the top of the page for the full size pistols, there’s a History and Serial Range section that provides detailed information.

Ah, I'll have to look into that. As far as the country stamp, I was just alluding to the fact that it's a year 1 transitional, so I'd imagine only 1992 and some 1993 transitionals will still say Czechoslovakia. Tens of thousands were likely made in that time but I still find it to be pretty interesting.

Imgur is also an option, and post image embed link using using the image button in the forum reply editor.
