Yep. That’s what happens when CZ leaves their US customers out to dry.

Thanks for posting.

I had been waiting for the 7.62x39 CZ 806 to come to the USA, but I prefer a carbine rather than a pistol.

The problems that people have had with it have kept me from going forward in getting one.

Hopefully CZ will get things worked out.

I doubt the 7.62x39mm Carbine will be introduced anytime soon in the US, might be the ongoing issues or the fact that demand for them might be low while demand for the 5.56mm versions are high. Darn shame - I really liked my 7.62x39mm pistol, was a straight shooter, BUT, i have to say I am VERY happy with my CZ BREN 2 MS 5.56mm pistol as well, fun, reliable and accurate little gun

The ban on Russian ammo may have put a dent in the 762Soviet market too. Although it's still cheaper than 556NATO everywhere I look.

It’s a shame that CZ has totally (seemingly willfully) dropped the ball on the civilian, semi-auto 7.62x39 Bren. It didn’t have to be that way, their full-auto military x39 Brens seem to function just fine, as they apparently have a different (tungsten weighted?) bolt carrier. The problem with 5.56 is that it’s relatively anemic, the ballistic equivalent to an ice pick out of a short barrel at rifle distances, compared to 7.62x39 and the related 6.5 Grendel. There are a lot of countries besides Russia that make x39 ammo for cheap that are starting to pick up the slack.

But CZ has made some questionable decisions lately, from failing to address the x39 Brens’ problems to purchasing Colt and then deciding to leave production in anti-gun, CT, etc.

I guess CZ was trying to beat out SIG for the "Worst Support of a platform" and "Making the customer their Beta Testing bitch" awards. bleep shame, tho I still love my 11" X39! :P
