What Have I gotten Into Here ??

This came in with a strange group of items today. At first I thought it was junk, but now not so sure..... Did not even notice the porting until I sat down with it. 9mm, Marked " ULTRA " MODEL,I.P.S.C. Approved on slide. WITNESS over EAA-HIAHLEA-FLA, and FT-MADE IN ITALY on the frame. In great shape other than needing a good cleaning. Have not been able to find out much about it. Was it made this way ? Any value opinions - it may become trade bait......

I had one of those in combo 9mm and 41AE. Mine was just Tanfoglio, no EAA on it. When you post some pictures I can give you an idea of it’s value. I sold mine for $1500.

Generally, these are excellent handguns, particularly if you are into USPSA/IPSC Competition.
Small Frame Series 88 Transitional Tanfoglio Pistol is a more direct model description.
These were a limited run to honor USPSA/IPSC and a bit collectible, depending upon condition.

Good looking pistol. If I had to guess I would say it was made in the late 90’s to early 2000‘s. Looks like a hard chrome frame and blued slide. It appears to be a small frame version, which is better in my opinion, when it comes to magazine availability. What all came with the gun and have you fired it yet?

Just the gun and one mag. I have not fired it yet. It feels great in my hand, but not sure if I want to keep it or not.

I’d say you could get anywhere from $450 to $600 to the right buyer. I know in my area I could get $600 for it pretty easy.

Nice!  8)  There is a bit of finish wear on the frame and Barrel, but otherwise looks good.
Note that the finish on the frame is flat industrial hard chrome.
A past owner must have installed the Rear Adjustable Sight, as that was not offered.

Also note that your Pistol is a full on Series 88 Tanfoglio Pistol and not a Transitional model.
The rounded Trigger Guard tells me that it was one of the last one's made, of that special model.

Was it ported at the factory or did somebody have it done? I don't see anything like this one listed anywhere.
