Caring for your P10's finish?

My first 2 guns were CZ 75s with the Polycoat that I was told I dont have to oil or do anything but wipe it with a cloth.

I was wondering how to take care of my P10's finish considering its clearly not the same. Should I oil it or something?

I carry my P10 every but its in the hidden CCW compartment of my slingbag (different laws over here re concealed carry) so body acids, salt spray etc are not an issue.

I go over all of my guns with a Rem Oil cloth when cleaning. Including my CZ 75’s. I let it sit for a few mins then wipe it off.

Never had a problem using oil on polycoat finish on CZ75 handguns.
P-10 series handguns use black nitride on slide and barrel, so it's even better.
Put some oil on every metal part and wipe it down. Don't overthink it. Metal cannot stay dry after contacting with cleaning solvent.

I give ALL my guns a final wipe down with an oily cloth after cleaning polycoat included. The Nitride on the P series is a very tough and durable finish but I'd maintain it the same as any other gun. Take care of your tools and they will take care of you.

I'd say the Nitride finish on my P-07's is pretty tough, tougher than the Nitron finish on my Sig for example, just from looking at the wear vs. roundcount.  I've used various traditional lubes on my P-07 slides over the years... Hoppes oil, Ballistol, Break Free CLP, Super Lube, probably some others I forgot.  Never had a real problem with my CZ slides having rust or premature wear so no complaints really.

These days I just keep all my slides treated with Eezox on the outside, which is totally dry once the carrier has evaporated, and it works fine for me.  I use the same stuff on the inside of my slide, including the breach face, and on my barrel, firing pin, etc. and then touch up friction points on the barrel and slide with a very light application of Slip 2000 EWG.  If I was going to be sweating all over my pistol on a daily basis or working around saltwater or something, I might supplement the Eezox on the outside with regular application of a very thin layer or Super Lube lightweight oil, which is a food-grade colorless and odorless synthetic oil, the version that has no PTFE in it.

The oil doesn't seem to hurt the finish (whether painted or nitride/treated) and there are so many things in/on the slide that do need some protection.

So I wipe it down with an oily rag while making sure the pins get some oil, the sights, the slide release, mag. release, etc., etc., etc.

Yeah, I get some oil on me and my clothes sometimes.  It washes of both me and the clothes.

Sooner or later you'll get worn spots/nicks/chips in the finish (both types) and it'll rust on those spots if you don't keep some oil on them.

I bought 2 Rem Oil cloths 4 years ago. I haven’t even opened the second one. The one has been used I don’t know how many times on 7 handguns one shotgun and a AR. Several knives too. I keep the used cloth in a sealed baggie.

The Nitride finish is very durable and requires little care.  The finish on my P10F shows very little wear (some shiny corners towards the front of the slide) after 2+ years of regularly shooting USPSA and Steel Challenge matches using a Kydex holster.  The wear is much less than other guns I've used previously with CZ Polycoat or Cerakote finish.

I would be more concerned about wiping the steel sights with an oily cloth to keep them from rusting.

I wipe all of my guns down about once a month with a silicone cloth. It puts a Light protective coating on the guns slide finish.  Works extremely well. I have been doing this for years.
