I've been holding out as long as I can.  It's been difficult but I just haven't shot as much as I use to because of it.

I get that I lose some training value, but I am not spending that much money on ammo when I could put it towards another gun.  Eventually, ammo prices will fall. When they do, ill stock up some more.

Right now I buy a box of something every pay day.  So twice a month I pick up a 50 round box of something.  Don't really feel it in the wallet, but I also don't get out and shoot like I would if it was pre-pandemic prices. I remember a few years back just blowing through 500 rounds on a range visit because I could and it wasn't that much to replace.  Now when I go I tend to shoot less than 200 rounds of various calibers so I don't really hurt my stock.

I have been having good luck at some of the ammo manufacture's web sites. CCI for rimfire and Norma for centerfire. I recently ordered 8 boxes of their 124gr Range and 4 boxes of their 124 competition. I can live with  600 rounds for$200 delivered.
Right now Firearms depot has ADI .223 55gr Blitzkings ammo for $11/box. Not as good as as they had it a couple of weeks ago,$10/box but still a smoking deal if your rifle likes them.
Yes ammo prices stink in general but some are starting to somewhat competitive again like .22,,223, 9mm etc.
What blows me away is 30/30 pricing. I had no clue when I gave $600 for a like new 1973 Winchester 1894 last summer. I thought I had scored until I started shopping for ammo. At $2 a round roughly it cramps my style to say the least and might make me break one of my personal cardinal rules and sell it.
To make a long story short. I understand your frustration. Only thing I can add is sign up for email alerts from both manufacturers and retailers for some deals that don't show up on Ammoseek.

Ah, the good old days when you could pick up a box of rifle cartridges from Ace hardware for under $10.    :P

I remember when the bounty on fox bought you a box of 30/30 shells, I believe it was 4 bucks..
