Follow up on FPRP replacement
« on: December 12, 2021, 12:19:58 PM »
Hello all, just for everyone's information I had the FPRP go bad on my P-01 Omega. I replaced it with the M*CARBO one that came with their trigger spring kit and after a combination of live fire, laser training and dry firing 1500 times I was curious to see what shape the RP was in, the new RP had a slight shiny mark on it but other than that it looked fine. I had great customer service from M*CARBO and will give them business in the future. As far as the spring kit goes I can't speak on that since I didn't install the kit YET, but customer service was top notch. I plan on removing and checking the RP after another 2K strikes to check its condition and will report back my findings. Who many times can the RP be removed before it should be replaced with a new one? if I was more savvy with computers I would post a picture but Im not familiar with the process.

I have a good memories doing business with M*Carbo in 2019. They just started putting together their kit for P-01 Omega. It was a pleasure to chat with Chris. M*Carbo is actually the third on my list for CZ maintenance.

Anyway. I replaced factory FPRP two or three weeks after I started shooting my Omega. Everybody said it would go bad anyway, so I installed CGW version on it.
Factory pin was already beaten up. The CGW replacement still sits in my pistol. Doesn't seems I need a new one after those 3 years.  :D
I'm only thinking to replace it for a new one anyway before I reach the point when it breaks... everything has its limits.  ;)

My five 75's have the Mcarbo FPRP installed, along with the spring kits.  Four of my 75's had the kits in them for two years now with no issues.  Best money I ever spent.

Good to know thanks for the input. The P-01 Omega trigger feels pretty good to me so I figured why mess with it, but Im sure I'll installed the spring kit in the future.

I found out that you can reuse the FPRP as many times as you want (per M*CARBO).
