Dry firing for Bullseye recommendations

I do a bit of dry firing, no snap caps, so I am reluctant to do a lot, fearing I will mess up the pistol.
I see a lot of snap caps on Amazon for one, but a lot have negative reviews, saying they will lodge in
the chamber etc etc.
Any recommendations (45acp)  will be most welcome.
I have not intention of doing the fast shooting thing, so practice is only for good bullseye stuff.

If it's a hammer fired gun.. u can simply use a soft ear plug and put it between the hammer and pin. That will do the same job kinda I would say and reduce any unnecessary wear. I use a similar trick when doing paracord trigger jobs to guns

Snap caps are cheap, but when not available I have used a deprimed case and pencil eraser cut to fit the primer pocket.

I think they even make a snap cap laser. So each time you shoot you also see where it hits. It will let ya kill two stones with one bird so to speak lol

thanks guys- yep all hammer fired, it would really be a pain to have to recock the slide every time!

I will get some caps, just worried about them making a permanent home in my barrel

1/2 inch rubber o'ring does a great job. Same result as ear plug, but o'ring locks nicely in firing pin stop.

Yep, both of these are better than snap caps. Snap caps quickly wear out.

My only experience is with Tipton snap caps,  they have worked fine for me. I was concerned that  some of the  poorer quality plastic ones may leave something behind in the chamber.
As others have mentioned, one can create their own out of an empty brass casing.

    My experience o rings do not stay in place as well as rubber automotive hose that can be cut to any thickness and a lot more cost effective than o rings.
