A friend is selling his CZ 455 Trainer w/ 20” heavy barrel and Manner’s stock. He’s upgrading and no longer needs the 455 for NRL22 rifle.
I’ve been doing some research into the 455 vs 457. Other than making changes to how the bolt is released from the action and the addition of the push-safety on the 457 is there anything else I need to be aware of? How much compatibility is there with regards to parts between the two gens?
I shot his 455 Trainer last week and with SK ammo we were busting clay pigeons into smaller and smaller shards at 100 yds and had hits out to 300 on a steel plate (albeit fairly large). I really like the Manners stock, much more comfortable than some of the chassis stocks I’ve shot and it balanced really well when shooting from non-prone positions.
I’ve been hankering for a really precise .22LR, and may start shooting NRL22 as a way to practice for centerfire PRS.
