Shadow 2 Mainspring Plug Stuck?

Greetings, folks!

I have a Shadow 2 right out of the box.  Never been fired...  I'm disassembling it to install some modifications, and the mainspring housing plug is "stuck".  I can push it in and, with a little prying, get it out so that the entire cutout of the mouth is exposed, but I cannot pull it the rest of the way out, regardless of how much leverage I apply or try to pry it.  I know that part isn't the hardest of steels, so I'm trying to be gentle.

Any thoughts or advice on this?

Have you removed the magazine guide?

I have not... is that required before removing the mainspring?

(This is my first CZ pistol).

UPDATE: Apparently so, because as soon as I removed it, the mainspring plug plopped right out.

Ugh.

There are a number of excellent videos on dissembling and re assembling CZ's.  They really do help as there are a couple of tiny parts for the safety that are easily missed.
