KADET
« on: January 04, 2022, 10:00:42 PM »
I am considering buying a KADET 22 conversion for mu PO-1 omega, does anyone have some experience with this conversion. I was told by CZ I should have an experienced gunsmith do the conversion because there are some fitting that must be done. I would like to know any positive or negative experiences one might have. Does it operate as well as stated? ANY ISSUES that might steer one in another direction? any help or input would be appreciated, thank-you

You can easily do it yourself if it is required at all.  Have 4 kadets mated to various pistols.  Only two required fitting and one of those just needed the black polycoat removed.  Please read the stickies as there is a lot of great information.  My P-01 with kadet kit is my training pistol, for new shooters. Move them to 9mm (also a P-01) after they hit 10 x rings in a row at 30 ft.  Usually 2nd or 3rd mag. Where we go from there is up to the new shooter.  Amazing how many of them choose a CZ as their first pistol to purchase.

Good luck on your project.

Welcome to the Forum Diablo
As Fuzzy said, the KADET Kit makes for a fantastic .22 Pistol
It's a proven fact; the KADET is as accurate as any dedicated .22 Target Pistol
Yes, they can be Ammo finicky
There are a few "Tweaks" that you can do to help improve most Cycling and FTF Issues .... see the KADET KLUB Stickies for those
As for fitting the KADET Upper to your Frame:
In most cases, a Nail File will do the job
BUT, in some cases, a more aggressive File or even a Dremmel is needed .... maybe 1% of the time
Trust us, it is all easily done at home .... so don't get frustrated
Follow the instructions in the OM / UM and you're Golden
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

As others have said, fitting it is pretty easy. Make sure you get the Kadet 2 kit if you are going to put it on an omega. I don’t believe the original works on omega.

Thank you, everyone, for the comments and the advice. I called and talked to CZ about a year ago, they said there were two kits made - one fit the shadows and the other one my po-1 omega.  There was no mention of any other names for the kits. I apologize that I do not have the part # they gave me at hand. I have looked for over a year for the Kadet kit and finally found one - that was a week ago, so fingers crossed! I love my PO-1, it is my favorite.
