Volquartsen Black Mamba - First Range Session

The first 50 rounds, outdoors from 7 yards. The ammo is just cheap Federal copper plated stuff that is probably 15+ years old. It's from the good old
days when you could buy it for $9.95 for 550 rounds. I have a 50 Cal ammo can that is well over half full. I'm happy that it still shoots so well.
There were no malfunctions whatsoever. The Black Mamba is a joy to shoot.

Don't have one of their pistols but many years of shooting their 17HMR semi auto rifle puts it as my favorite over my ARs etc.  Spendy at $1200 but even 73 year olds eyes can do 1/2 " goups at 80 yards.

sweet! I love ruger 22s. very nice LLV (I can smell the upper crust from over here...)
TK just released their new Build Your Own Kraken lower kit -  no need for a ruger donor pistol now.
I paired it with the MaddMacs XVI scoped upper. I still prefer the Volquartsen trigger shoe and tidy up a couple other things.
I installed it live last night on twitch over 3.5 hours.
Now you can just build the lower and buy whatever upper you want, and if your super cheap you can get stock take off uppers even cheaper. I see this blowing up the high end upper 22 market.

Very nice indeed, thanks for sharing! I don't even own a 22lr pistol right now - the boy has all the 22lr ammo.

Another 50 rounds today. 5 rounds at each 2" circle and 30 at the 2.625" outdoors at 7 yards.
Mediocre shooting from me today, but the Black Mamba is a pleasure to shoot.
