Want CZ to make a SP-01 Tactical Light

Wish CZ would make a SP-01 Tactical or Omega with an Aluminum frame.  Like the barrel length of the current pistol, but wish the point of balance was a little further forward.  Make it in 40 S&W and I would buy two. Phantom would have been a good choice, but they are no longer in production.

Anybody else out there would like to see a new variant of this platform?

This exactly is why I just picked mine up today, as a more affordable and all-round alternative to a Shadow. 

Matching pair alongside my P-01bd.  Can't wait to get to the range and shoot them side-by-side.

The steel frame SP-01 Tactical in .40 is an awesome pistol. An aluminum frame version sounds good to me.

i know its an old and tired debate, but at this point I dont see why CZ doesnt actually makes a handgun into 10mm.

Because:

1. The optimal handgun caliber for defense is 9 Luger;

2. An attempt to make 10 Auto the standard LE caliber failed miserably;

3. No military seems interested in 10 Auto; and,

4. The 10 Auto is great for hunting and for wilderness defense against irritable or hungry megafauna.  I don't think Czechia has any remaining megafauna, and the Czechs who hunt African megafauna wisely do so with rifles.

Doesn't CZ offer 10 Autos through Dan Wesson and Colt?  If you insist on a 75-pattern 10 Auto, can't you find one from Tanfoglio?

I carry a 9x19mm P01 myself because muh capacity but 10mm would be dope.

Purpose for the pistol is for both home defense, competition and hunting.  40 S&W in my mind is better for the hunting role and I have some loads that will work well for that, 9mm could be used, but not as confident on a clean quick harvest of game. Also would allow for a custom 357 Sig barrel, which is my favorite pistol cartridge.

Weight of steel frame is fine until you put a light on it.  As an old school target shooter my preference is for a weight forward point of balance.

Hope this helps for understanding my intent.

Want to make the SP-01 Tactical lighter?  Buy a Phantom.  That's what I did and it's a great handgun.

You could also look at the CZ 40P.  It has a PO1 frame with a mid length upper in 40S&W.  Not the same full size goodness of the tactical but mine is a shooter.  I carry it more than any other CZ I own.
