It's a beauty, Clark.  Why the permit?  Is this full-auto?
Who’s Clark ?

Most guns require a permit from the local bureau of arms here in Switzerland. Regular permit for semi autos / revolvers / lever and pump actions (bolt actions are exempted) and special permit for full auto weapons. This is an ex full auto converted to semi auto

“It’s a beauty Clark” is a quote from a movie. National Lampoon’s Vacation

I don’t know your laws there so ignore me if it would not be legal……… I don’t know if you can legally restore it.

If it was a full auto FAL and still has the full auto ejector block in the upper receiver, it would be less then a 5 minute job to convert it back.(can’t remember either 3-4 parts) Maybe as easy as a full auto selector lever to replace the semi auto selector you currently have if the other parts are still in it.

When I bought my parts kit in the 1990s it came with all the full auto parts. Not legal in the USA to build a new civilian full auto, so I threw them out before buying the receiver.  Even owning the parts while owning the rifle can get you arrested here for “constructive intent”.

Ok, saw that movie, a long long time ago.

I could maybe convert it back and request a new special permit for full auto weapons. Not sure it’s worth the trouble though. I have another full auto toy in the same caliber

Schweet, but heavy - it's own workout program (says the guy with an 805 pistol!)My old L1A1 was a workout to tote!
I suspect it’s lighter than the Swiss Stgw 57

Man another beautiful rifle. You have an awesome collection
Thanks. I made a couple of posts abt the Sig 510

The internet gets it wrong on the FAL.

They can be accurate.  The trigger is just fine.  The recoil isn't any worse than an M1 or M1A.  It's not as heavy as my M1A.

Mine is only a sample of one, but that one goes opposite to conventional internet wisdom/comments.

What numbnoo sez otherwise - the FAL is a great rifle, one of the greatest post-war rifles there is!!!

Beautiful find! I have always been intrigued with the FAL, but do not own one and know nothing about them. Would love to fire one some day.
