If it is just that the trigger won't reset/cock the hammer in DA that is an different animal.

Does the trigger have pre and overtravel setscrews (you can see the overtravel setscrew on the trigger face).  If so you may need to loosen the pretravel setscrew.  https://cdn1.cajungunworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/28155351/How-To-Adjusting-Trigger-Screws.pdf

The triggerbar spring could need a little more upward pressure on the right side:  https://cdn1.cajungunworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/28155355/How-To-34-Adjustment.pdf

Or it could just be a timing issue with the gun and it might need some parts fitted properly.

Cheers,
Toby

I think you are going to have to pull out the sear cage and hammer, then inspect the hammer pins.  I can't think of any other reason that it would be unable to be cocked manually.  If you aren't comfortable pulling it down completely, it should go back to CZ for inspection warranty.

Toby

No trigger adjustment screws, and no false reset that I can detect. (Sorry to be so much trouble).

Thanks all, I believe I’ll watch a few videos , get the tools out and give it a shot. I don’t like owning firearms that I don’t know how to fix.

Another thought I had is if the safety is able to be even partially engaged with the hammer down it might prevent the hammer hooks from clearing the sear and would prevent the hammer from cocking.  You should never engage the safety with the hammer down or at half cock.  With factory parts you shouldn't be able to engage the safety with the hammer down.  If the sear has been replaced with an adjustable sear from CGW it is possible to engage the safety with the hammer down but is not advised as it can do damage to the sear hammer interface.

Is this a stock gun?  Have you done any polishing to parts in the action?  If no, can you apply the safety with the hammer down?  If yes, then you may need a new sear, safety lever, hammer or all of it.

No trouble at all.  We're here to help you.  The more info you are able to share the better and easier it will be to help troubleshoot.

Cheers,
Toby

Hunter 1957 i would call Cajun Gun works and explain the problem and get their insight on what to look at when you take it apart.
