So, in al my P07/P09 handguns I have been running the HS-18 yellow hammer spring for years and never had an issue. In one P09 I decided to go with the 15# gold hammer spring and all has been well until last range session. I had one light strike that did go off , but on second trigger pull it fired. Ammo was 124gr Golden Saber and its what I run for defense ammo. This P09 is my home defense handgun, so the one light strike has my attention. Should I go to the yellow spring just to be safe, or not worry about it? The 15# gold spring has maybe 800 rounds on it.
Also, it seems that OEM recoil springs for the P07 and P09 can not be had. I have been on the witing list with CZ's webstore and CGW for over a year. I see that CGW has the stainless guide rod. Is that a good choice for a defense pistol, or just for gaming? If you do use it for defense/duty, what recoil spring are you using? The ones on CGW website says they are good for reduced power loads. I am using full power factory loads.
