Why so many Czechmates and Parrots?
« on: March 19, 2022, 11:53:41 AM »
As someone who has wanted a Czechmate or a Parrot for years, I'm amazed at how many are for sale.  It used to be that the Czechmate/Parrot was said to be extremely rare and that only about 140 or so were imported to the US per year, but now it seems that everyone has one for sale. Gunbroker is flooded with them, and even normal, everyday gun shops are getting them. What's going on?

I realize that CZ will eventually come out with a new version based on the Shadow 2 frame, so is the sudden availability of the CZ 75 based version the last hurrah before CZ comes out with their newest and greatest or what?  I would imagine that even if/when CZ comes out with a new version, they will probably still offer the older one as they have with other competition models, but I'm just wondering why there are so many available now.
