Unfired Since Factory S&W I-Frame Shipped 1919

Here’s one that you won’t see often -or, EVER…
.38 “Regulation Police” that shipped April 1919 per letter.
Original in every respect.
I have never so much as worked the action.

Where did you find a time machine? That's simply beautiful.

Thank you.
It’s funny (strange) to me to come across a revolver that has sat for so long, unused and unhandled.
I wish I knew more about its history. According to Mr. Jinks, it shipped to Edw. K. Tryon Hardware, Philadelphia (like many firearms did in those days). I’m in Texas, so it’s a mystery how it ended up here in pristine condition.  ???

Here’s a (left & right) comparison shot alongside a .44 HE, 2nd Model (shipped in 1927, also to Edw. K. Tryon Hardware, Philadelphia).
These two pictures illustrate how diminutive the I-Frame is next to the mighty N-Frame.
(The Franzite grips have since been replaced with correct type non-medallion service grips from Keith Brown.)
