Shadow 2, TSO, TS2 Questions
« on: May 04, 2022, 11:20:11 PM »
Been using search here for 2 days, and still a bit confused. Hoping to find the best option for me of these three pistols. The Shadow 2 I'm looking at has the CGW SAO kit installed. The TSO and the TS2 would be new.

I do not compete. I shoot at a local range just to relax and have some fun, but do enjoy a better handgun.

Thanks,

Any would be fine.

If you have a lot of CZ-75 mags, then maybe the S2, as you won't need to buy new mags.

I personally like the TS2 over the TS (in general).

The TS2 Green would be my choice, since you're not competing with it.

Do you have an opportunity to hold them and see how they feel in your hand? I've got a TSO, Shadow 2 OR and very well tuned SP01 with CGW bits and pieces among other CZs. The TSO and SP01 share the same frame/grip geometry. The Shadow's geometry is different with more of an undercut under the beaver tail and finger guard. I don't own a TS2 yet (but dang, I want one!) but it looks like it has adopted the S2 frame/grip geometry. I admit I prefer the S2's geometry over the TSO and SP01 but it's a personal thing that's gonna be different for everyone. I will say tho that my TSO is the CZ I'm most accurate with and the best built CZ I own, with an amazing trigger that's almost too light. I've got a frame mounted optics plate and SRO on mine. It's an absolute joy to shoot. I can't wait to try a TS2. They seem to adopt the best of all features taken from the TSO and S2 series of CZs.   If you can't handle all 3 before you buy, I'd say go with a TS2 green. Can't see how you could go wrong.

I held them all at my local shop, bought the TSO and couldn’t be happier.  Went to the range and can’t stop smiling.

You need to try the trigger on the ones you are interested in.

The TSO trigger is adjustable for pre-travel and over travel.

If I had it to do all over again, I would have bought just a PCR for carry and the TSO for target shooting.

Love my TSO, the trigger is amazing on the gun. After adding a red dot and a few other things I sometimes wish I had just laid out the cash for the parrot. But as I’m not shooting this gun in a competition where I’m needing 9mm major I don’t really need the parrot. But is need really necessary to buy something?

The magazine release button on the TSO causes a blister on my support hand after a match because of its length.

Bought a TSO 4 months ago and couldn’t be happier.  Was waiting for a Sig 226 Legion but really like this better.  It is a Beast!  Feel like I’m cheating when shooting

Between my shadow 2, TSO, and A01 I shoot the shadow the best.
No idea why but the tso is a .40 and it’s bleep close to the shadow.
The A01 has a dot so it takes me a while to adjust between irons. The shadow 2 has a full Cajun pro kit and everywhere I point it hits.

I recently bought a TS2 Green to go with my TSO, S2 OR & SP01.  I had the TS2 milled for an SRO and it has Lok hollow brass grips.  It has quickly become my favorite CZ.  I call it "The Magic Gun".  I can't miss with it.

The magazine release button on the TSO causes a blister on my support hand after a match because of its length.

I chamfered the rear of the mag release to eliminate the sharp corner.  I have big hands and thus don't need the reach.  I did't have any support hand interference pre or post chamfer.

Cheers,
Toby

Seak, may I ask who milled the TS2 Green for you? Also, is the SRO direct milled or does it require a mounting plate? Finally, if a mounting plate, which manufacturer did you select?

Thanks!

Howdy, I used the Fire4Effect guys. They have their own proprietary mounting solution. It seems very solid & the SRO sits very low. They were a pleasure to work with. Good communication and 3 week turn around.

Hi,
Of these four, for purposes as a range toy, which one would need  the least amount of Cajun-ization? For that purpose which one is best out of the box?
Thanks,
           Mark
