Charging handle spring with HBi handguard
«

I just installed an HBi handguard (barrel nut removal was epic) and am wondering whether it’s truly necessary to switch the charging handle spring. Preliminary installation with the old spring seems fine but I am wondering if I’m not predicting something that will happen during operation.
Anyone with experience to share? Thanks.

I went ahead and changed mine out, even though I had less than 100 real and pretend pews on it. Just because, I suppose. I'm keeping the original spring as a back up.

How is the accuracy of your scorpion after installing the handguard? Asking because it dispenses with the barrel nut and effectively turns the barrel into free floating.
