Stock issue

Hi all,
I have a 457 varmint, and I bought a Boyds stock for it. OK the stock fits perfectly, BUT the floor plate (trigger guard?) has the plastic grip on it. Even when removed it does not fit. Called Boyds, they told me to find an aftermarket, because they don't make one. Any thoughts as to where I can get one? Is there even one made for it?

 Can you take the plastic grip off? If so, try to fit the bottom metal on. Try it without the barreled action installed. I bought an at one thumbhole stock that I had to do a lot of minor fitting to, including touching up where the bottom fit into the stock.
 Back to your stock, you may have to trim the plastic some. They just slap it on and send it out.

Are you talking about the triggerguard/magazine metal? If so, Area 419 makes an aluminum piece.
