New Owner with a question about a P07 disassembly

Recently got myself a new P07 and after taking it out on the range for the first time I went to clean it and realized that Slide Stop Comes out without lining anything up. Is this normal or is this something I should be contacting CZ about?

I just tried my 07 and 09 and both do the same, so probably normal.
Seems like a bad idea though, those guides are there for a reason... FWIW I also tried a 75b and it doesn't come out.

It just "comes out" or you have to really push/shove/force it out?

On my P07 (old DUTY model) I can't even push it out with my thumb/finger tip.  Hurts too much.  I use the rear corner of a magazine to push the slide stop far enough out that I can grab the lever side and wiggle it back and forth as I pull it out of the frame.

I cant do it with just my fingers, I pushed mine out using a magazine.  Took effort but roughly the same as when the slide is pulled back to the guides

I can push it out using just my finger. It's not falling out on its own, but I worry that it may loosen up more over time.

Correct me if I am wrong fellow P07 owners, but I believe you line up the marks to take pressure from the barrel off of the pin and it facilitates the pin removal.  That being said, I still believe you can push the pin through without lining up the marks, but there will be more pressure on the pin due to the barrel.

Thank you for the replies. I wanted to make sure it wasn't faulty before ordering a trigger kit and then possibly having to send it in for repairs. Not really sure on how the warranty works if you do one so I'd rather she's tip top before going all in on her.

That is correct. You line up the marks on the rear, left side of the slide and frame and then push the slide stop/release from the right side of the frame.

I have two P-07's and one is maybe a bit easier than the other due to differences in tolerances and fitment, but they both require a significant amount of force, and usually I use the corner of a magazine base pad or some other non-marring pointy tool to apply that force.  If I could just force it out with my finger I might be concerned about it.  As far as lining up the marks on the slide and frame, I always do it on both pistols when removing the slide stop, but I have noticed one goes back in more easily without lining up the marks.

There is quite a bit of opinion/belief that the tightness of the barrel fit/lockup between the slide and that slide lock/release pin (that fits into the front metal inserts in the plastic frame is a big contributor to the accuracy of many P07 and P09 pistols.

I've seen Joe post about how tight his P09 is (have no idea how many rounds he's shot through it but I've seen those videos of 100 and 200 yd. groups).

My P09 doesn't have nearly as many rounds through it as Joes and I noticed when I installed the new red dots on it a month or so back that I can pull the recoil spring assembly out turn the slide over and the barrel is still tight enough it doesn't fall out unless I bump the top of the barrel in the ejection port with my finger tip.  It is also like my P07 in that I have to align the marks on the slide/frame and use a magazine base corner to get the slide release lever/pin moving.  Then it takes some wiggling/twisting while pulling on the lever to finish getting it out.

If that tight lockup contributes to smaller groups then I'd be concerned if my P07/P09 was loose enough to just push out of the slide without lining up the marks.
