What is your oldest handgun
« on: August 21, 2022, 10:38:26 PM »
What is your oldest handgun that is still in working condition ?  Mine is a First gen. 7 1/2" 45 Cal. 1873 Colt SAA Cavalry revolver that was issued to the New York Militia in 1890.

WWI Colt 1911, made around July 1917.  Inherited it from my late Father, who had it customized back in the late 1970's.

I bought my Browning Challenger III in 1983.

(Got to wondering about my milsurp CZ 82, but it wasn't made until 1986.)

Me, too.  1917 made Colt 1911 (no idea what month).  Bought it in 1978 after shooting a 1911A1 on our Battalion Combat Pistol Team and finding out all the BS about 1911's isn't true.  Seems like my serial number starts with 196 but I could be wrong about that.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

An old S&W 32 special revolver. I'll have to do some research to figure out just how old it is.
