I’m a newbie with CZ handguns but not with firearms. I’ve actively shot firearms for over 60 years.
I purchased my first CZ handgun earlier this year, a Shadow 2. Soon I decided I wanted a CZ compact. I bounced back and forth between the different models. At first I wanted a safety model but finally decided on a decocker model. After handling several different ones, I saw a big difference in trigger pulls. So, I decided to search for a decocker model with a better trigger pull. Yesterday I purchased a P 01 Omega which has the second best trigger that I’ve tried. It wouldn’t have mattered to me which decocker model. JMO
Joe,
can you elaborate more on the big difference in trigger pulls that you felt?
I can't get my hands on any of the 3 models I'm considering: the p-01, p-01 omega, or the PCR, so any input would be appreciated.
For reference, I have smaller/medium sized hands and don't have any real issues with my CZ SP-01 competition model.
The trigger pulls from all three models will vary widely from CZ, depending on what is shipped to you.
I have two PCR's with DA/SA pull at 9.5/3.5 lbs.
Also have and/or had, a P-01 Omega with a DA/SA pull at 9/3, 8.5/3 and 10/3 lbs
All of which are acceptable. What is not acceptable, is a crunchy trigger or one that hangs up, which is why I suggest buying new, so that just in case you get one like that, you can send it back to CZ for free and they will do a free trigger job, polishing and de-burring etc. , even lengthening the chamber throat if necessary, if you have feed problems. All of which I have experienced. CZ customer service is great! But their Quality Control is not.
