What made you pick a CZ PCR or P-01?

I just happened on a great deal through the local Outdoor Trader on my Compact. A gentleman bought one for his wife but it was too hard for her to rack. I was actually looking for a P-01 but contacted him and set up a meet. That gun was brand new with five rounds of Sig Performance 147 gr run through it. He even had the receipt from the local gun shop/range along with five boxes of ammo, minus the five rounds. He sold that gun with the ammo to me for $500 and that was in early 2020. Since then I have just under 2000 rounds through it with zero problems. The racking has improved tremendously and I can shoot that gun better than my SP-01 Tactical! So I would say that unless one needs the rail for a light/laser or looks, the Compact is the way to go!

My choice was the PCR. I thought it was like the car commercial on the Capri in the 70's, it's the sexy European gun.

I shot a friend’s P01 and loved the feel of it. I was amazed at the accuracy as well. I was at a local pawn shop and found a PCR for a decent price, so I scooped it up…

Ended up going with the P-01. The fact that it fits some of the range holsters I already has for the SP-01 didn’t hurt. Also didn’t want the loaded chamber indicator. Also, the P-01 uses a more common sight cut.

My experience so far. 75 Compact is what converted me to the CZ ways. It shot like a dream with the weight. That said, I wanted a de-cocker for carry and although I loved the extra weight at the range, wasn’t a big fan of what it’d feel like in the waistband.

 Moving on to the other…PCR was sex in my eyes and didn’t see myself carrying a light on it since I edc one. Fast forward two years of carrying a CZ…I’m beyond glad I picked up a P01. Planning to pick up a TLR7 finally. I’m glad I went P01!

Last year I purchased a P01 Omega. I liked it so well that this year I bought a PCR. After shooting the PCR, the Omega took a back seat. The PCR is amazingly accurate.

Both are great pistols, the PCR in my opinion is the better pistol for me. I would like to add another CZ to the 3 I own. The other is a Shadow 2. For my 4th CZ, I can’t decide between the P01 Compact or the full size 75 BD.

I just wish they all were easier to work on.

The PCR is a great pistol - I kinda own one.

But the P01 fits just as well in a holster without really adding any problems for the purposes of concealment.  If you don't want to carry a light on the gun so what?  With the P01 you at least have the option on the nightstand - especially if you travel.

I like the PCR the best: it’s light and more aesthetically pleasing to me than the P01. If you ever want to mount a light, then the P01 is your only choice among.

Whether the Compact is too heavy will depend on your build; I’m big and tall so the additional weight isn’t a problem for me, but it might be a deal breaker if you have a smaller frame. I love the Compact but prefer a decocker for carry.

I’m 176# 5ft 11in and 74 years old. If I’ve got my pants on, I’m carrying my PCR. Last fall I carried my Colt Government Model for several weeks with only issue was the hammer spur gouging my side. As far as weight of a carry gun, it’s what you get used to.

I posted earlier in this thread about my PCR and my PO1 Omega. While I really like the PO1 Omega, the PCR is the cat’s meow.

It was a tough choice between the two.  I prefer the look of a PCR but ended up with a P-01 since is has a rail for attachments... that I don't use .

The PCR is on the radar after I sell my CZ 2075 RAMI.

It’s interesting to me how many view the PCR as more aesthetically pleasing. I picked the P01 because I thought it looked better! I only have 300 rounds through it but the more I shoot it, the more I love it!

Same here, love my p01, it will probably get more range time than my glock
