Czech Point VZ 71 7.65 Browning

How is the reliability of the Czech Point VZ 61 in 7.65 Browning? I was wanted one by CZ but they were discontinued years ago. Atlantic fiearms has them for $839. Any information is appreciated. I would not be SBR'ing the VZ 61 so just shooting it with my hands for support,

"Vz. 61 Pistols are assembled with original surplus parts that have seen military service, Czech Small Arms handpicks the best condition surplus parts from parts on hand and refinishes these parts."..... Makes me a littler leary. But I think it would be cool to have a good reliable one. I've got a bunch of .32acp ammo that I could run through it. I am curious about how accurate they are.

I am curious what makes you "leary" about Czech Small Arms refinishing these parts?

just the fact that surplus parts that have seen military service. May be  a concern or not. I am no expert in the matter.

the ones I have seen at gun shows seemed to look like be cheap stamped steel construction. But history shows these have been reliable and effective.

CSA’s Vz58s are the top of the heap, so I wouldn’t be leery of them building a semi-auto version of the Vz61, especially in the original .32 ACP / 7.65 Browning Short caliber. There probably aren’t many surplus spares specifically available in .380 or 9mm Makarov, though those would be marginally better “man stoppers.” It sounds like it would be a nice range toy, though.

They’re a hoot to shoot in full-auto (they rent them at Battlefield Vegas and probably other places). Absolutely no recoil. It’s like a little sewing machine.

.32 from Czech Point is very reliable as are the .22 LR conversions. Sadly feeding .32acp has made it sit till this ammo gouge is over
