1.  You might watch this:

2.  I seem to find the P07 is a tad easier to dial in.  Many seem to be the same, some not.

3.  As with ANY CZ - it is better to pay more for a GOOD TRIGGER than a POOR ONE - so IF YOU CAN, buy in person.  CZ triggers can be ALL OVER THE MAP.  It is better to buy one in person for $650 than online for $550.

4. While the 75 trigger system is a bit more refined, if you have to replace something, like a TRS, or you want to polish or upgrade, the Omega System is a TON easier to work on.

CZ Custom is just as good as CGW, other than possibly the reply time of customer service. I've heard great things about CGW, including their quick personal communication. I've ordered guns from CZ Custom, including a number of worked models- they are top notch. As CZ fans, we are very fortunate to have two great services to chose from. I would definitely order again from CZ Custom, and I would love to try CGW in the future.
I would suggest that you get a factory model of your choosing, and run it for a while. Then, determine if you want to modify it or not.
I have a 75 Compact and a Shadowline Compact- both rack about the same.

This. I was one of the lucky ones, I guess. My P-01 Omega trigger was extremely smooth and much lighter any other factory DA trigger I've seen straight out of the box. I was planning on CGW upgrades, but I don't think it's necessary now. For me it's just right for carry.

thanks:  I went ahead an purchase a p-01 omega online.   I have no chance at one in person where I live:  none of the stores carry any of the CZ compact metal framed models.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a decent trigger out of the box, given the wide variability I've read about.
I'm getting LOK thin grips and am considering the ultra light trigger kit from CGW.  Given that I live in AZ, I may consider stopping by CZ customs to see if they have something similar I can put in myself or have them do.
I'm not sure I want to go all out for the CGW pro package.

If you aren't happy with the trigger pull there are lots of threads here about how to take apart, what/how to polish parts, and what parts to replace with certain company's custom/aftermarket parts to slick that new pistol up.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Had a p01 shot great but kinda bulky, got a pcr better for carry. As for shootability I’d say they are the same . The pcr just conceals better.
I don’t need to  attach a light ant it’s thiner
