No easy way to adjust windage on Shadow 2
« on: October 10, 2022, 01:49:14 AM »
All the competition pistols I looked at had fully adjustable rear sights. The Shadow 2 doesn't seem to have a windage adjustment. The manual says to loosen the sight screw and adjust the windage by moving the sight on the dove tail. There is no screw on the sight that will allow me to do this. I can't believe that on such an expensive gun and windage cannot be easily adjusted. I am also curious why none of the reviews mentioned this windage limitation.

A sight pusher is what you need for micro-adjustments.  Otherwise clamp it in a vice and tap with a punch/hammer until you get it dialed in.

There are two set screws on top of the rear sight, and you need to loosen both of them before you attempt to drift the sight.  After loosening the screws, I used a sight pusher to move the sight. I guess you could move the sight with a hammer and brass punch too.  I remember both of my Shadows were pretty tight in the dovetail.

I ordered a McStar pusher. It is not expensive and got some good reviews.

Thanks so much,
