P 01 Omega sight picture
« on: October 12, 2022, 09:36:48 PM »
What’s the standard sight picture for the P 01 Omega with the Novak style rear sight, assuming there is a standard sight picture? With mine, I’m having to use what I call the combat sight picture by covering target with the front sight dot

On my rear sight is stamped either a 6 or a 9, depending on which way it is viewed. I know that designates the sight height, but how high?

Thanks

On my P-01 Omega I have original rear sight and Dawson FO front sight and I use a center hold that seems to work for me.

On my P-01 Omega I have original rear sight and Dawson FO front sight and I use a center hold that seems to work for me.

Wednesday I received a Dawson Precision sight set. I selected the black rear with a red fiber optic.

Elevation is spot on using a center hold. At first I was shooting a little low but I was paying to much attention to the fiber optic and had the top of front sight slightly below level with top of rear sight. Once corrected, it was spot on.

I need to take my sight pusher next time and move it a few thousandths to the right. If my measurements are correct, the sight is .012 to the left. The poi is just leaning to the left, but I want it correct. I was surprised how close the windage was after initial installation.

A lot better than the factory sight.

Thanks for the reply.
