cz52 9mm with Prague palace guard markings
« on: October 28, 2022, 12:38:22 PM »
Hi. I found a czech converted cz52 9mm with what looks like Prague palace guard markings.  I can't seem to find any information.  Any information on the markings?  It has a fairly large czech crest on the left side of the slide follwed by PG68-9

Something seems off. The grips are well worn, and the finish on frame is different than the very detailed slide.

The lesser coat of arms of Czechoslovakia (1945-1960) on that slide has the lion facing in the wrong direction. BTW - it’s Prague Castle and not a palace so the separate unit (under the army or ministry of the interior throughout its history) is referred to as the Castle Guard.
