Original TS new magazine problems

I purchased two new CZ magazines for my original Tactical Sport.  I found that the new magazines with the hard plastic base plate will not strip the next round into the chamber.  When I use the three original magazines that came with the pistol, I don't have that problem.  The older original magazines also have the rubberized base plates compared to the hard plastic base plates of the new magazines.  Is the newer TS magazines only for the TS2?

You'll have to post up pictures as i haven't seen updated magazines for the ts variants.   

I'd start by stripping the magazine down and cleaning it inside and out.   I wax my magazine inside and out as well.  Check to make sure the follower doesn't hang up anywhere in the mag tube. It might need tuning, if the above doesn't fix it post up and I will share my process.

You mean the mag sits high enough to strip the first round, but then the slide can't pick up the second, third, forth....

What happens with round seven ? Do the dynamics of the spring and follower change when the mag is half or 3/4 full ?

If the mag body/spring/follower are in spec the base plate may be making contact with the mag well preventing the mag from being fully inserted.

If a magazine isn't fully locked in they'll often fall out of the pistol on the first or second shot.  Seen it with a couple pistols over the years.

You can check it one of two ways after unloading the pistol and removing the magazine and slide.

1.  observe the right side of the magazine release button and it's orientation to the frame on that side.  Insert a magazine and then look at that same spot again to see if the magazine release surface is in the same spot as with no magazine.  If it's not the the release may be dragging on the button/shaft and not allowing the release to move completely back to the left to lock the magazine in.
2.  strip the magazine down to the shell and insert it into the mag well to see how much of the magazine release is sticking into the magazine body.

Bingo!  You people were awesome.  Thanks to all that replied.

The newer CZ magazine base-plates were hitting the CDC mag-well.  The older mags have a chamfered edge which just barely clears the mag-well.  The newer plastic magazines are not chamfered and the rear edge is hitting the CDC magwell.  Who sells the older CZ magazine rubber base-plates?
