Should the P-10 family of CZ pistols have it's own sub-forum ?

Yes, the P10 is very different and deserves its own sub-forum.

For whatever reason, it really makes no difference.

When the P10c came along it was new and very different. It was only like the existing CZ's in that it had a polymer frame... and so it was piled into this forum with the P-07 and P-09 pistols.

But now we have the P10c, the P10f, P10s... and more are coming. It really is a different pistol, with different repairs, modifications, holsters and adherents.

The question before the users is: Should the P10 have it's own sub-forum ?

This poll is set up so you can share your input....  and Thanks.

No. The more forums & sub-forums there are, the more people put the wrong things in the wrong places. They then have to be moved which is extra work, and makes the forum look more untidy.

People can't put things in the right forums now as it is.

Personally, I'd have one forum for CZ pistols, one for rifles, and one for non-CZ firearms of all kinds.

It'll never happen tho.

Respectfully disagree w/ Grendel.  I’d like to see a sub forum on the P10 family.

I don’t surf all the sub forums and want to zero into those sub forums that interest me.

That said, I acknowledge the effort to moderate multiple sub forums

I don’t know. I’m so used to looking for P07 and P10C(My Polymer CZ’s) posts in the Polymer Club section.

I wouldn’t be opposed to the change.

Since I have 3 polymer hammer pistols and 3 polymer striker guns, leaving them all in one forum is still fine with me.  But I don't have any strong preference.

This is the way. I hit the “unread post” tab and read what I want or have time for. If I’m looking for something specific I’ll use the search function. The Forums are nice I guess if you have 1 gun but if you have a CZ in every category (and if you don’t why not, they’re great) then it just slows you down.

I happen to have more than a few in every category (except clones!) and I like all the different categories that we currently have.

At one point I was able to click on "MARK ALL MESSAGES AS READ" so the Forum is ready for my next visit.

Then when I visit, I first click on "Show new replies to your posts" and then "Show unread posts since last visit".  Since I visit almost daily there's only 1 or 2 pages of posts.  I scan and read the ones that interest me and then select "MARK ALL MESSAGES AS READ".

If I am doing some research, I'll visit the proper subforum and use the amazing SEARCH feature located just above the News: "The 2019 CZUB Catalog is online!."

My vote would be no. Having multiple sub forums makes navigating and finding content on CZ pistols more difficult. Ideally I’d like to have a forums for CZ Pistols (all), CZ Rifles, CZ Shotguns, and Clones. Keep it at that.

One other benefit of having a simple CZ pistols forum is finding new info. For example, I owned only steel frame CZs up until recent few years and came across the new polymer framed models thanks to this forum. Broadening horizons ;)

The only CZ I own at present is a P-10C, but I have no problem with the way the forum is currently arranged.  I have learned about other CZ products and I like the broad scope of things as they are.

Although I am new to this forum, I belong to many other forums, and have for decades.  In other forums, I am able to subscribe to sub-forums.  When I log in, only those sub-forums are shown.

While I can still click on the main forum at the top and then see all sub-forums, it is much easier to only see those I am interested in.  It also means that I am a lot less likely to post something in the wrong place.

I would be all for a specific P-10 sub-forum as I would then subscribe to it and only be looking through those posts, and not all of the polymer pistol posts.  It also means that when searching, I would only search the P-10 sub-forum and not all polymer pistol threads, meaning there is less of a chance of me reading something incorrectly about what I thought was a P-10 and then posting about it in a non-P-10 thread.

So yes to a separate sub-forum but with the caveat of also being able to subscribe and only show subscribed sub-forums.

I hope this makes sense.

I voted in favor of a separate P-10 sub-forum.  While there are some commonalities between the P-10 series and the P-07 / P-09, like the magazine compatibility for example, there are so many differences that the threads probably should be separated into two sub-forums.  I have learned quite a bit about the P-10 series reading threads on this forum, which has been good, but my main point in coming to this forum is for information on my P-07's.

I also recognize Grendel's statement about more sub-forums meaning more things posted to the wrong sub-forums and more work for moderators.  Hopefully a P-10 sub-forum wouldn't lead to much of an increase in that.  Many of the wrong sub-forum posts seems to be subject-specific posts in more generalized sub-forums, or posts that cross multiple sub-forums like "when shooting reloaded ammo X in firearm Y" type of posts.

I'm surprised at the lack of interest in this. I'd go for less sub forums in general. But I have a variety of CZ,s.
