As you can see I am new to this site. I found it after ordering a CZ Shadow 2 O R with the S2 packet from CGW. I sure hope that I am as happy with their service as the people I read about on this site. I have spoken with them twice and so far all my questions have been answered. Can hardly wait till I receive the Shadow. I was given a shipping time when first speaking with them but a longer ship date was on the order when I called with FFL information I was told that the shipping time I was given by David was a good date,less HOPE.

• You won't have ANY trouble from CGW. They are an upstanding organization and their products are second to none. So much so that if a new product comes on the market, I wait until CGW starts making the part to buy.

• The down-side is that in the later stages of the CGW relationship, you end up having your paycheck going 'direct deposit' to them, and they send your parts and whatever change is left at the end of each pay period.

Thanks for that information. Has anyone here had CGW do the S2 packet to their Shadow 2, I would sure like to hear your thoughts.

Can’t speak to the S2, but have had CGW magic performed on my P01 Omega, PCR and SP01 Tactical.  Super impressed with the whole process and end result.

The Omega is the next purchase on my list. I have said I would never change from my PPQ as a CCW, but if the Shadow works out there could be a change.

I've never sent a firearm to CGW but have purchased items from them and they have never disappointed! My money is on the table that you will be a satisfied client of CGW  .

I sure hope so. I hoping to hear from them this week. I can hardly wait. I sure want to get to my new Toy, just like a kid at Christmas. Found a fair deal on 1000 rounds. But still up in the air on a holster. Any thoughts on a holster?

Just be patient.  Good things come to those who wait.  A lot of things are delayed, back-ordered, supply chain dis-ruptions, long line of people ahead of you…. Could be any of those reasons. 

I get all my springs and spare parts from CGW and DIY my own maintenance or trigger jobs -have even done a few trigger jobs for friends.  So can’t speak to how long it takes to get a gun from CGW. 

As far as holsters, what is your intended use for the S2?  Are you looking for a OWB, IWB, AIWB…. Carry, range, competition?    There’s quite a few options but you need to narrow it down a little so we can help you.

Will be used at the range, looking for a competition style just to hold the pistol and train. I see prices all over the board, I don't wish to go crazy but want a good quality holster that will last.

I use (and compete) with a Bladetech kydex hoslter.  Nothing fancy but it is functional and fits the Shadow 2 very securely without causing wear on the finish.  Another option is Red Hill Tactical since on the annual equipment survey at USPSA Nationals RHT is in the top 3 holsters being used.  Regardless of which holster you get, look into the BOSS hanger for the holster.  Attaches very securely to the outer belt and offsets the holster from the body just right for competition.  Also adjustable for height as well as cant.  I have a BOSS hanger on each of my competition belts for for the last 10 years and have been very happy with them.  The BOSS hanger is probably the most common hanger at USPSA matches.

There is about a 100% chance that you are going to be very happy with the pistol!   

Joking aside, you have two excellent suppliers/shops to use for CZ pistols.  Both are excellent, I have more experience with CGW than with CZ Custom, but will happily work with either in the future.

We expect a range report no later than Thursday, by the way.

Yes, hope to be shooting by Thursday for sure . I will be using iron sights for now but my plans are to get a Holoson 507cx2, but may have come across a used Trijicon SRO at a fair price. the only problem now is finding a mounting plate. What are your thoughts on the two sights that I mentioned? I was pleased with the reviews on the Holoson till I found the Trijicon, we have not agreed on the final price yet.
