CZ TS2
« on: November 17, 2022, 04:06:11 PM »
I saw a TS2 for sale for $1399.00 and I'm sorely tempted.  II own a lot of CZ's but all are self defense type guns.  Would a TS fill any other role besides competition?  I don't need an expensive safe queen.  Thanks for your thoughts.

I have a TS2 and just use it for range fun but I will tell you if the trigger is anything like the one I have it has a lot of creep. I put in a CGW manual safety hammer and it cut the creep in half and I enjoy shooting it more now.

Like the first responder, I have a TS2 RG for a "range toy".  That is, for the personal enjoyment of shooting it.  The trigger is fantastic and the pistol is joyous to shoot.  Because of its enjoyable shooting characteristics, I stopped shooting my SP-01 and now only use Shadow 2 and the TS2.  My TSO is going to my grandson as a present for college graduation.
At some point (likely when I get my next TS*), I will be adding a frame mount for optics and a green-dot optic.  As good as the TS2 RG, I have decided to forego the CzechMate with the C-More red-dot optic (which I can't use because it's red).

Mine is a real jewel.  Astonishingly accurate and as reliable as a....Well, as a CZ. It's a big heavy gun but so is my CZ 97b which I carry. Why not carry it if you don't mind the weight.  Funny thing, I was searching for a holster and found out my custom CZ 97b holster fit's it perfectly.

The TS2 I tried had the best trigger I''ve tried on a factory gun in a long, LONG time!

For a while TS2 9mm were hard to aquire and demand a premium so mine is  chambered in 40S&W.  I purchased a threaded CZC 9mm barrel for it to make it a dual caliber. I haven't tried that yet but it's in the future plans. Used as a range tool to improve my shooting. I think I would pass on it for every day carry, not because of the weight. The wonderful 1 pound trigger would not be my choice for a stressful situation.
It's good to know that a holster for it will work with the 97b as I also have one.
Be careful, CZs are addictive.

You are far too late with the warning.  First CZ was a (New) Surplus CZ 82.  Then a CZ P-01.  Now a whole family.

They seem to multiply like wabbits!
I started with a Shadow 2 and 2 years ago wondering if they were as good as the gun rags and U-tube bragged them to bee. I was impressed enough that the litter has reached 10 at last count and still haven't found any thing to complain about.
