Interesting Test of CLP's

Apologies if this has been posted before... But here's an interesting test of several gun lubricant CLP products. Testing was done according to the Mil-Spec they all supposedly meet. The video itself moves fairly fast. See what you think...

It seems like everything is a "balance" for lubricants and you can't have them all. I guess you pick what is most important to you, or change up or combine depending on situations. I think if 9 out of 10 people  (maybe exceptions in some situations, like the extreme cold/dust) were liberal with the lubricant application they would benefit regardless of the oil brand.
I ran Breakfree CLP in the Army for years, so it doesn't surprise me on it's performance. Keep in mind the Military weapons all have some kind of surface treatment so it would be interesting to run the material with their chosen coatings but that would be a ton of testing iterations. I understand they use Radcolube after 2000ish.

Great share, thank you!

Clean, lubricate, protect. Pick 2. It seems clear that the best approach is to use multiple products for desired results.

Frog Lube is well known for protecting against corrosion, but it gums up faster than anything else, for obvious reasons.

Running in COLD weather is rarely a concern for me, so Clenzoil or Rand CLP is hard to beat. But they definitely both will gum up in the cold. Clenzoil is sorta the clear winner for me.

I'm surprised that Clenzoil can remove carbon so well while still keeping suck a low friction coefficient.

For protection...it really doesn't matter THAT much. But Frog Lube Ll the way.
