DA reset is intermittent on 97B with Pro package
« on: November 26, 2022, 08:19:47 PM »
I put the CGW pro package into my 97B. It's been running well, but about two weeks ago it started not to reset for double action. The symptoms are interesting, if the weapon is held upright, pulling the trigger gets no DA, occasionally a slight tension, but no DA. If the weapon is held with the left side up, consistent DA. Rotated with the right side up intermittent DA. I removed the ejector cage, checked motion of the components, they seem fine. Reinstalling it found the same results.

Looking at the excellent animations indicates that the trigger bar is not reaching the sear, but why does the angle of the weapon affect that? What am I missing?
Liberty, it starts with self ownership. You own you. Everyone owns themself. The essence of freedom and liberty is to allow everyone to pursue THEIR idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happyness. In doing so, they may not violate your right to the same goals. Thus All crime is property crime.

The Double Action in a CZ 75 variant resets at the Disconector and Trigger Bar. The Single Action resets at the Firing Pin Block Lifter Arm in a FPB pistol and the Sear in a non-FPB pistol.

The first thing to do is to back out the DA pretravel set screw if it is installed and see if that influences the malfunction. If the DA pretravel set screw is not installed, the Trigger Bar Spring tension is the next thing i would check.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

I had a C100 and a P07 Duty that did what sounds to be the same thing. Both had a spring under the trigger bar that jumped off for various reasons. When the gun was inverted, gravity would do the engagement.
