Freedom Munitions 9mm 124 grain FMJ New

Anyone use Freedom Munitions 9mm 124 grain FMJ (new)?  The power factor is 132 and the price is $13.90 per box.  I'm wondering how it would run in my Accushadow 2.

Interesting you mention this. I have been shooting Freedom 147 gr reman in my Shadow. I'd shot maybe 1000 rounds without incident. Suddenly I had several failure to fire just yesterday in a match. The DA took care of the problem, although my time was a bit off. I also recently shot 200 in a new Sig P320, from the same box Freedom had sent me (don't know about lot numbers). I had a couple that didn't go bang. The dimple looked a bit shallow. I refed them and they went off the second time. Maybe Freedom occasionally has a batch of hard primers?

Most common (but not only) cause of first strike FTF second time BANG is primer not seated completely.  So my GUESS is that their primer seating equipment got out of spec.

I just plunk tested 100 rounds of Freedom Munitions 9mm 124 grain RN (new).  Every one plunked and fell out easily when I tipped the barrel upside down.  I'm going to the range this Saturday to see if they all go bang.

Today I shot 100 rounds of Freedom 147 gr reman from a different lot than the one that had the FTF the other day. I had no problems. So I'll go with SoCal. Quality escapes do happen.

I shot 100 rounds of the Freedom Munitions 9mm 124 grain FMJ (new) through my 2022 Accushadow 2 today.  The ammo shot great and there were no malfunctions.  The brass is not stepped.  I'm still evaluating ammo, but this is definitely at the top of the list right now.

I have experienced 3 squibs with freedom munitions ammo.  Two with their remanufactured and one with their 'new' stuff.  All 9mm.  All seemed to have been loaded with no charge.  There was just enough oomph to lodge the bullet deep enough in the barrel to load another cartridge behind the squib.  Needless to say, pulling the trigger again would have been very bad news. 

This was several years ago, so maybe they sorted out their qc issues.

Well before 2019.  This was in the 2015-ish timeframe

I have fired at least 4,000 rounds of Freedom Munitions 115gr and 124gr with zero issues.  These were new, not reloads, and most of them were made prior to 2018.
