CZ 600 Alpha in 6.5 Creedmoor
« on: December 05, 2022, 05:14:20 PM »
Finally got one after CZ restarted selling these rifles. Shot very well with factory ammo last week and will go to the range on Thursday to test my reloads.

Which factory ammo did you shoot? I've only tried some Fed 140 grain so far and was not impressed. Currently testing some 147 ELD-Ms and 140 BTHPs. Still looking for the best load, but closer than I was.

I shot using 140 Gr Hornady ELD Match ammo and 143 Gr Precision Hunter.

I’ll be testing my reloads of 120 Gr ELD and 123 SMK HPBT using Shooters World Precision rifle. I’ll post pics after the range visit.

Sweet! Nice rifle sir. I am waiting on my 600 Alpha to come back from the scope shop - the guy went on a week and a half hunting trip without telling us! Dagnabbit!
What did you think of the action? Any difficulty with the bolt?

Thank you Mr A.

The action was really nice and smooth. I didn’t have any difficulties with the bolt at all. I used the plastic thingy to remove the firing pin for cleaning and for aligning the bolt prior to inserting the it into the rifle.

I wish the Range model comes in 6.5cm in addition to the 6cm they currently are offering.

I look forward to hearing about your range trip! I'm going to try to go later this week and test some of my 140 BTHPs and 147 ELD-Ms with Superformance. Happy shooting!

Here’s a couple of pics of my test during last thursdays range visit. This was shot at 200 yards since the 100 yard range was closed for maintenance.

120 Gr Hornady ELD

SMK 123 Gr HPBT. The pasties were used to cover the 120 Gr bullet holes.

Those are some impressive groups! I'm glad to see yours will stabilize the lighter bullets. I was afraid the 1:7 twist was going to be picky.

Thank you!

I’ll be testing VV N 540 with 140 Gr ELD and 130 SMK HPBT tomorrow if it doesn’t rain.

I HAVE IT BACK! The supply chain issues are insane...

Here she is with SIG WHISKEY3 3-9x50 scope, and a LimbSaver True-Track bipod. Looking forward to trying it out, maybe Sunday morning...
